It is a "trust label / certification level" A label for data consumers to see
Four Badge Types and Their Meanings
| Badge | Meaning | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Certified | Officially reviewed by enterprise, governed, can be used as the single source of truth | High governance, for CEO/VP review, official reports, standard KPIs |
| Master data | Enterprise canonical data / core master data | Examples: Customer master, Product master, Location Master |
| Promoted | Good quality content, reliable, reusable, but not officially finalized for executives | Reusable analytics, shared reports |
| Cannot be endorsed | No endorsement → Cannot be labeled | Unknown data source, no governance, should not be used for decision-making |
